BioThere has never been a time without unicorns. We live forever! We are as old as the sky, old as the moon! We can be hunted, trapped; we can even be killed if we leave our forests, but we do not *vanish*. ~ The Unicorn in 'The Last Unicorn'  Okay, so basic info: First off, I'm female. I'm about average height, with hazel eyes, and hair that I sometimes love and sometimes hate. I'm 21 years old and a Leo (a quintessential leo, or so I have been told). I like to paint my nails with glittery nail polish and I tend to be quirky...actually, make that very quirky. I love to meet new people, experience new things, and just enjoy life overall. My friends are the most important things in the world to me; I would be completely lost without them. I have a soft spot for cheesy pop music. I am a hopeless romantic and enjoy sweet moments between two people. I am a nerd, an avid RPer, and my OTP is Jack/Ianto from Torchwood. I love to laugh and make others laugh, and will often go on giggling fits over the smallest things (just ask my friend Deanna). Acting is my passion, and my eyes are set on Broadway. I have huge crushes on John Barrowman, Gareth David-Lloyd, John Simm and David Tennent. I love old movies, and old Hollywood. I like to dress up as often as I can, and for no reason at all. I love innuendo, irony, and British television. And this is only the beginning...  Books: I am a book fanatic, a bookworm if you will. I've loved to read since I was about four years old and I think I will love it until I die. Some of my favorite authors are: Oscar Wilde, Neil Gaiman, Clive Barker, Susanna Clarke, and Charles De Lint. My favorite genre is fantasy, but I will read pretty much anything except horror, since I usually can't handle it. In regards to Clive Barker, I am a fan of his Abarat series, but would never read any of his horror works. My favorite book in the entire world is 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'; I read it at least once a year, if not more, and I also have 'The Complete Works of Oscar Wilde.'  Okay, I know this is going to sound a little extreme but bear with me: I don't think I could live without music. I mean, if it had never existed then yes, I could, but if it just disappeared I think I'd lose my mind and either go on a killing spree or just shoot myself, whichever came to mind first. To me, music is life with a melody. It can make you feel the full range of emotions, it can make you think, or it can just be something to make you smile. No matter where I am, I have to have some kind of music with me that I can just absorb myself in. For example, the song 'The Heart of Life' by John Mayer is like the message I could give to the world if I could. In terms of what I listen to, pretty much everything. The only thing I don't like is death metal, screamy rock/metal, most rap and most R&B, but that's it. I will listen to anything once, even if I'm pretty sure I won't like it, because I love finding new music, just like I love finding new books. Some of my favorite singers/groups include: Panic! At the Disco, The Corrs, Brad Paisley, Josh Groban, Rufus Wainwright, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Sting, U2, Shakira, Mika, Michael Buble, Colbie Caillat, Celtic Woman, and so many more that I can't name them all. I also love the works of Cole Porter, who is my favorite songwriter of all time.  As with books and music, my taste in movies runs the gambit. One minute I might be in the mood for a romantic comedy, the next a thriller. My favorite genre is comedy, my least favorite, horror. I have a very mild dispostion, and I can't stand to watch most horror films or I will be up for days or even weeks. I love seeing new movies and re-watching my favorites, because I can usually quote my favorite scenes (why yes, I am a nerd.) Some of my favorite movies include: The Blues Brothers, The Usual Suspects, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, LXG, Velvet Goldmine, Dangerous Liaisons, Breakfast on Pluto, The Prestige, Shrek, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, The Cat Returns, Beauty and the Beast, Bambi, Little Miss Sunshine, Mr. Skeffington, Moulin Rouge, Chicago, Down With Love, Interview with the Vampire, Pride and Prejudice, Shall We Dance, and that's just the tip of the iceburg. My favorite actor is Anthony Hopkins; he's my hero and the reason why I want to become an actress myself, though I prefer the stage to movies.  I don't really watch TV much, but there are a few shows that I really love. They are Family Guy, Eureka, How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Who, Torchwood (save the third season, which pissed me off), Life On Mars, Buffy, Angel, and Pushing Daisies. One of my favorite TV shows of all time is 3rd Rock from the Sun, and I have five seasons of that on DVD, which I watch regularly. I do love some cartoons, such as Fairly Oddparents and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, but I'm not what you'd call a huge television buff.  Are you still with me? If so, thank you for being this curious or this bored. I really appreciate someone taking the time to read about me. So, here we are at video games. The only system I've ever personally owned was Game Boys, and I've owned one of each except the Game Boy Advance SP, since I went from the old Game Boy Advance to a Nintendo DS Lite, which I love. My favorite video game series of all-time is the Phoenix Wright series. I got hooked on them early last year and I haven't looked back since. Some of my other favorites for the Game boy are: The Pokemon games (I've been a fan since they first came out and I'm still a fan), The Zelda Oracle games, Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times, Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness, Lux-Pain, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, The World Ends With You, and others. For other systems, it's hard to say. I like the Final Fantasy games, the Zelda games, and some others. I'm not a huge video game fanatic but I have my fun.  Yes, I am a nerd and I do like to role-play, mostly just one-on-one with my favorites. I tend to do slash pairings, so if you're not comfortable with that, I wouldn't bother with me. My main RPs are HP, LXG, The Vampire Chronicles, Velvet Goldmine, Torchwood, Doctor Who, Life On Mars, and Angel. My favorite pairings in each are Lucius/Severus, Tom/Dorian, Armand/Marius, Louis/Lestat, Curt/Brian, Jack/Ianto, Ianto/John, Jack/John, Doctor/Master, Sam/Gene, and Angel/Spike. |
